Serverless vs containers? Serverless for event-driven, variable workloads with minimal ops. Containers for long-running processes and more control. Many projects use both. Serverless is simpler to start.

Is cold start still a problem? Less so. Provisioned concurrency, smaller runtimes, and edge functions mitigate cold starts. For most use cases, cold start is acceptable. Critical paths can be optimized.
